My grandparents, Sam and Elisa, in Shreveport, Louisiana in the 50s.

Vintage music and culture from postwar America

My grandfather, Sam F. Milazzo, was a small businessman, a CPA, a USMC veteran of the Pacific theater of World War II, and a lover of history, culture and the New York Yankees. Over the 1950s and 60s, he collected hundreds of LPs: swing, big band, Latin, religious and historical interest, and what-have-you.

Sam passed away in 2004, just shy of his 80th birthday. His record collection passed into my hands a few years later, and now I'm sending these vintage vinyl discs out into the world (minus a few choice cuts that will join my own collection!). I hope this music brings as much joy to you as it did to him.
